Wireless Surveys

providing your platform to success

At the onset of your project a wireless survey is essential for the successful planning and design of your wireless network. Ensign offer two types of wireless surveys, Onsite and Predictive Desktop. Our surveys will consider a number of critical points:

Location of your premises | Size of your premises | Your existing infrastructure
Quantity of devices accessing the network | Coverage required | Potential challenges

Onsite Wireless Survey

Whilst our predictive desktop surveys will provide you with a considerably detailed level of information, the most accurate way to plan radio frequency (RF) behaviour, ensuring 100% coverage and optimum performance, is to perform an onsite wireless survey.

An onsite wireless survey requires a skilled Ensign engineer to visit your site and conduct a survey using the very latest surveying technology, completing a range of tests identifying signal strength, wireless coverage and RF interference. We will then produce a detailed written and visual report for you making recommendations for the hardware, security and management you will need.

Predictive Desktop Survey

Ensign's predictive desktop wireless survey is carried out virtually and is a great option for sites where minimum access or disruption is required. Once you have provided us with your site address and necessary drawings for your building, we will use 3D modelling software to create a virtual copy of your site.

Our predictive survey will provide you with recommendations on the most suitable locations for your Access Points and the quantity of Access Points required to meet your objectives. In addition, we will make recommendations on the most appropriate hardware, security and management options you will need to consider.
